I have known this family for many years. They used to live across the street from us in Pinehurst and our kids played together all the time. When the mom told me they were expecting again, I was thrilled! We did their maternity session in Southern Pines a few months ago and when their little girl was just about six weeks old, we scheduled their newborn session at my photography studio in Carthage. They wanted a good mix of images of the baby by herself, sibling portraits and then a family portrait as well. They love black and white portraits, which is why I added quite a few more black and white images than what I normally do. Their little girl was so aware of what was going on! She was awake through the majority of her session and it seemed like she didn't want to miss out on the fun.
