This week, I had the pleasure of working with Chelsea, a real estate agent who just got her license and is starting her career with Towering Pines/EXP Realty. She reached out last week asking if we could schedule a headshot and branding session, and of course, I was more than happy to help her out!
When we first spoke, Chelsea shared that she wasn’t exactly comfortable in front of a camera. She admitted she tends to hide in the back when family photos are taken, and generally, she wasn’t a fan of how pictures of herself turned out. Challenge accepted, right? I love working with clients who might feel a little camera-shy—I’m here to make them feel at ease and capture natural, beautiful images that truly represent them.
Chelsea’s main goal was to get a headshot for her LinkedIn profile and business cards, plus some branding images she could use for her marketing materials and social media. It’s a big step in her career, and I wanted to make sure she had the perfect photos to represent her new venture.
Since she’s originally from Carthage (though now based in Sanford), we decided to kick off the session at my studio for some classic headshots. Then, we finished up with some outdoor shots in downtown Carthage for a more dynamic, personal touch.
We ended up with a great variety of images—Chelsea now has that crisp, professional headshot for her LinkedIn (hello, pure white backdrop!), plus a handful of branding images that really show her personality. We got a few full-body shots, half-body portraits, and of course, some classic shoulder-up headshots—everything she needs to market herself in multiple ways.
And here’s the best part: By the end of the session, Chelsea told me she actually enjoyed the experience and felt completely comfortable in front of the camera! I call that a win.
